In May of 2017 we are going to honor Sergeant Christian Hipsley & help others who are battling with PTSD.  Chris’s brother Mike Hipsley shares the story –

from Mike:

As many of you know our family suffered a terrible loss two years ago when my brother, Sergeant Christian Hipsley, lost his battle with PTSD from the injuries he sustained as a combat medic in Iraq and Afghanistan. It’s been on my heart and mind for a while now to direct the tragedy of my brother’s passing towards something that would both honor him and help others. So I’m announcing the Pink Bunny Hike. This hike will be coordinated by 1 Voice Trekking which uses extreme trekking as a platform to raise awareness and funds for NPO’s that are making a difference in the world. Chris loved hiking so this seemed like an incredibly fitting way to honor him. We’ll be raising funds to support Warrior Canine Connection and organization that helps veterans struggling with PTSD and physical trauma/mobility problems by inviting them to help train and matching them with service dogs (among many other things – please visit their website – see below).

The Hike will take place on May 6, 2017 in Maryland and we’ll be walking 23 miles – 22 miles in honor of the service men and women who lose their battles with PTSD each day and one more for my brother. We’ll be hiking straight through. There will also be an option to join the hike for the final 10 miles for those who want to participate, but can’t do 23. As you can imagine there are a lot more details to follow and many that we’re still working out. At this point we’re not yet taking donations for the hike but just gauging interest to see who might want to be a part of it. There are a limited number of spots for the hike, so if you’d be interested in hiking or if you’d be interested in being part of the support team for the hike please let us know.

We are honored to being doing this with Mike, John & and the Hipsley Family.
