The Next Adventures
We came very close to hitting our 60 mile 24 hour goal in March in our hike for the Samaritan Women. Our small team did 56 miles and we are very happy with that! The important thing is that we succeeded in seeding the scholarship fund with $7,000. Equally important, there were some very cool relationships that developed along the way that day and night on the trail. Thank you everyone for your time, effort, and donations.
We are currently working with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Maryland Chapter on their upcoming Xtreme Hike on October 18-20th of this year. You can find more information on the Xtreme Hike tab on our page. Please contact us if you’d like to be a part of this adventure – hiking, helping plan, serving as support to the hikers on the trail that day, or as a donor. The hike will serve as a way to raise money that goes to research for a cure and as a way to connect with other hikers and volunteers, learning more about this important cause.
We are also in the early stages of working with the Helping Up Mission in Baltimore City. We are working on a game plan to connect residents with creation and develop long lasting relationships with our volunteers and the residents. In addition, we are planning a mega Spring ’14 hike with them. We need help! If you have a desire to serve, please let us know. We feel strongly that this could be a very unique and rewarding experience for everyone involved. You don’t need to be in shape or have any experience.
