60 Miles – Racing4Veterans – 1Voice

Winter 2014

The Next Adventure

Racing for Veterans bannerR4V1 Voice is looking for hikers to embark on a  60 mile day hike challenge to test your limits. On May 30 – 31 (noon to noon) 2014, we are hiking with Racing4Veterans* to connect with post 9/11 Wounded Warriors on the trail. The adventure will challenge participants, push your limits, and raise money for Racing4Veterans – a non profit organization that teaches health and fitness to disabled Veterans as a means to restoring them.

The 2013 Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Xtreme Hike was a success! The Maryland and DC Chapters of the Foundation raised over 100k from the hike.  Thirty seven volunteers hiked 21 miles in GW National Forest, ending with the Signal Knob loop.  It was  a great weekend and we made many new friends.   Hiking for a cure was an honor and we hope to be a part of it in 2014.

October 11th is International Day of the Girl.   We are working on an adventure race that would take place on this date in 2014 to support SheIsSafe and the fight against human trafficking.   More details to come.

Thanks for your continued support as 1 Voice continues to grow and serve.  Please contact us with any questions or if you’d like to get involved at 1Voicetrek@gmail.com or visit our FB page and post a comment.
